Vermontville Bible Church
Purpose Statement

The Vermontville Bible Church will be a growing and vibrant church God is using to bring people to Jesus and transform them into His committed followers.

The strategy for fulfilling this purpose is summarized by Christ's five purposes for our church:

1. Worship - to enjoy and exalt God together as a church family, as well as individually in our every day lives (Matthew 22:36-40, John 2:23-24).
    
2. Fellowship - to be involved in one another's lives in order to encourage one another to spiritual growth and godliness (Philippians 2:3-4, Hebrews 10:24-25, John 13:34-35).
    
3. Evangelism - to penetrate our community and our world with the good news of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20).
    
4. Discipleship - to bring every believer to maturity in Christ (Matthew 28:19-20, 2 Timothy 2:2, Proverbs 27:17).
    
5. Ministry - to demonstrate God's love to others by equipping every believer to use their spiritual gifs and abilities to effectively serve the Lord (1 Peter 4:10, 1 Corinthians 12:18-22, Ephesians 4:11-16).

The Vision of the Vermontville Bible Church is to obey God's command by making disciples.
